Protein Shake & Smoothie Recipes
A few weeks ago I posted a picture on my Instagram with the ingredients to a protein smoothie I got from my university’s gym. I figured I’d share that one and a few others that I drink on a regular basis. I use a superfoods protein powder but there are other options you can use!
Peanut butter banana
-protein powder (vanilla flavor)
I like this one because it reminds me so much of a peanut butter milkshake. I’m obsessed with peanut butter and this is a great way to incorporate it into your meals without using too much because it is so high in fat (shocker right?) or you can use PB powder as a replacement.
Strawberries, banana, and crème
-protein powder (vanilla or strawberry flavored)
Adding flavoring to the shakes is a great way to increase your options. Using the vanilla essence in this one allows you to get the creme flavor without sacrificing the nutrition. Switching out the flavored protien powders is also a good way to control how much of each flavor you’re getting. Some people have issues with Vanilla flavors, including myself, so being able to use the strawberry and add in how much vanilla I want is really helpful.

I loved this one when I had it a few weeks ago. I never thought to add orange juice to a smothie and I questioned it when my friend suggested I try it. It tasted good and I think it adds a little tartness to it for a good sour candy replacement.
